Terry Holt has spent the past three decades managing numerous media campaigns both in the government and private sector. He has served as the director of winning political campaigns, and has managed large-scale advocacy efforts such as the Corporate Taskforce on AIDS, the Alliance to Improve Medicare, and Americans for Border and Economic Security. Holt has an extensive background in media and national political campaigns, having served as a media and communication strategist on three presidential campaigns, most recently working as the National Spokesman for Bush-Cheney 2004. He has also served as a Senior Advisor to the Republican National Committee. Holt also enjoys strong ties to Capitol Hill. He is a former spokesperson for current House Republican Leader John Boehner, and was credited by The Wall Street Journal with helping to shape the political and media strategy for Boehner’s surprising and successful campaign for House Majority Leader in 2006. From 2001 to 2003, Holt served as Communications Director for then-House Majority Leader Richard Armey, and he previously served as Communications Director for the House Budget Committee. Trent Duffy has nearly twenty years of experience in media relations, strategic communications and public affairs, and has served in top positions in both the White House and on Capitol Hill. In addition to his government experience, he has provided media and strategic council to a client list that includes the National Automobile Dealers Association, Bracewell Giuliani, LLP, the Natural Products Association, and Oldaker, Biden & Belair, among others. Duffy served in the White House for four years, most recently as Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy Press Secretary. In that role, he worked as a spokesperson and media strategist on numerous public policy issues, including: economic policy, energy, health care, homeland security, telecommunications, taxes and trade. Prior to that, Duffy served as Communications Director for the White House Office of Management and Budget. There, he developed and led government-wide communications strategies for the President’s 2003 and 2004 budget, and was heavily involved in promoting the President’s economic program, and the Medicare Modernization Act of 2003. Duffy also has extensive experience on Capitol Hill. As Communications Director for the powerful House Ways & Means Committee, he developed a strong policy background and an ability to understand, translate and persuasively advocate on highly technical issues such as tax and trade policy, Medicare and Social Security. In 2001, Duffy served as Press Secretary for the Republican National Committee. He has also worked as Communications Director for Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen (R-NJ) and Legislative Aide to Rep. Duffy has also worked as Assistant Manager for Federal Affairs at Parsons Brinckerhoff, an international engineering consulting firm. Reporters still frequently seek Duffy’s views on current political news. U.S. News and World Report said he “easily gave the best quotes out of the West Wing during his three years,” and that “reporters like him because he was knowledgeable on tricky and technical issues... he was also honestly blunt.” Duffy has been a guest on Fox News Channel, MSNBC’s “Hardball with Chris Matthews,” CNN’s “American Morning,” and C-SPAN’s “Washington Journal.” Jim Morrell
