WASHINGTON, DC – In response to steady growth in its strategic communications and public affairs business, HDMK today announced the appointment of Liz Snyder, as senior associate. The newest member of the HDMK team, Snyder will play a crucial role in advising and serving organizations and businesses navigating today's ever crowded public arena and further drive HDMK's work in focused advocacy and public affairs.
"Our business is growing, and Liz's skills and experience are a perfect fit to help us meet that growth," said Terry Holt, one of the founders and partners of HDMK. "Her knowledge of public affairs coupled with her background in both the corporate and nonprofit sectors helps us continue to expand and enhance service to our clients."
Snyder served as the media strategist for the Pew Center on the States' "Pre-K Now" campaign and managed the media outreach and served as a spokesperson for Strong American Schools' "ED in 08" campaign, a project of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the Eli and Edythe Broad Foundation. In this capacity, she generated positive news coverage for the campaign, managed staff in multiple states during the 2008 presidential election and planned highly-visible events.
Snyder also managed media and government relations for DynCorp International, a major aviation services, U.S. government contractor and global services provider that currently operates in more than 40 countries in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Latin America.
In addition to her professional experience, Snyder holds a master's degree in political communication from Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor's degree in communication from Virginia Tech.
